West Virginia University Football Player and Graduate, Former Pittsburgh Steelers Player,

Motivational Speaker, and Best Selling Author

Former Pittsburgh Steeler Wes Lyons provides students with a positive, yet real, perspective on life and its challenges. Wes has built a brand as an inspirational leader and speaker by discussing how he defied the odds to become part of less than 1% of high school students to play football for a Division 1-A school, and then continue on to be signed by an NFL team.

During his presentations, Wes emphasizes the importance of his “Three Points”:

  1. Positivity – The 3rd and Long Attitude
  2. Planning – Developing a long-term playbook
  3. Persistence – The 60-minute challenge

Wes’ success in life is based off actually living these key points. He has continuously set ambitious goals and achieved his dreams through hard work, preparation, and dedication. Wes has also penned a best-selling book based off these principles called The Pursuit with Patience.

Wes’ experiences show that there are no impossible goals - as long as you have the right attitude and tools to achieve them. When Wes speaks to students, he boosts the morale of everyone in the room.

Don’t miss out on motivating your students this school year by hearing this phenomenal speaker!

Wes Lyons spoke at a Men’s Connection breakfast at our church to a crowd of 90 men and young adults. Wes proved to be a well-spoken role model of what hard work, perseverance and a clean heart can accomplish. Wes is not the all too typical speaker that shares a bad to good testimony. Instead he exemplifies a good to great character story, which is needed for young men today. His personal “desire to inspire” comes through his sincerity and humble approach in sharing his message. –
